Simone graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Studies. Her undergraduate research focused on marine mussel physiology and mosquito microbial ecology, and she worked as a tutor for introductory biology classes. Before joining ODRC, Simone completed internships in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation education, and she is excited to combine her research and communication experiences to support patient health and community care. She spends her free time exploring thrift and coffee shops, watching movies, reading, and enjoying the Oregon coast (rain or shine!).
